Ways to Destress

Last week was a real hard one for me. And as a result, I didn’t accomplish anything on my montly goal list. However, today is a new day, and starting off a new week. I must say though, now that I have had ample time to reflect on some of the things that happened, I could have avoided much of it. Here are a few tips to make life a littel easier if you have a busy schedule:1. Prepare your meals. Now that we are adults, mom won’t be making breakfast, and constantly spending money on sugary foods like Dunkin Donughts and baked goods will add up both financially and in the calories.2. Figure out what you will be wearing for the week. I know sometimes I may pull something out one day, and think oh this will make me feel better because its a brighter color and its gloomy out. If you have a set of clothes pulled out for the week, you wont have to rush on your way out becaus your shoes didn’t match.3. Make your bed. There’s something about coming home to a bed nicely made. Things aren’t thrown around and it brings a sense of calm. Sure you’ll be getting back into it and messing it up, but make it up in the morning. You’ll feel great upon returning for bed.4. Lay off the coffee. I find it crazy how many times I yawned today. I refused to drink a cup of coffee though. I really wasn’t tired either. I think I’m in withdrawal mode because I’ve been getting really bad headaches. Coffee is not an energy booster I don’t care hat anyone says. Instead I’ve been trying tea – this way I can sleep at night.5. Thirty minuets for you! I work two jobs just to maintain. Though I don’t have to pay rent or utilities, you would think I’d beabl to save. But like many other people, I have educational debt and credit card debt. And For the past few months I have yet to make time soley for myself. It’s always about other people. I, however, have set out time for myself this week to get pampered. Hair, eyebrows (maybe even my nails – manicure, and I haven’t gotten those done in years). When you feel beautiful, your confidence soars, so schedule one in or take time out to do something on your own. What are five ways you destress in your week? Share below!
