raising money for a cause

how do you raise money for a cause?I think raising money to go to Haiti would be fairly easy. Create merchandise people want, and advertise the heck out of it. Or you can ask people you know to give.I heard someone say, "you have you touch someone's heart before you touch their hands". Imagine if this principle was set in place for any and all people. This world would certainly be a different place.I've had minor experience raising funds for a Florida based missions trip. I always thought missions trips had to be out of the country. I had to raise about 2500 in a matter of a few months so I think I can do it again - especially when using my talents and skills of design.Guess it's time to challenge that.
