Not So New Years Resloutions for 2017
I don't have any New Years resolutions. I don't think I set any for last year either. I guess I'll have something to look back to next year. Instead of resolutions I have a few goals I'd like to accomplish:
- Track my expenses to the Tee for the entire year of 2017
- Successfully complete my 365 days of writing
- Start a YouTube channel and post consistently (weekly). The videos I currently have up are from my college days. And all my private listed videos are from me recording weight loss progression/failures.
- Land well paying clients that can purchase my new Mac book and software for the entire year.
- Create a product, launch and sell it successfully
- Get better at business finance.
- Get much more comfortable meeting people
- Get comfortable speaking in public
- Drop 40lbs - I don't need anyone telling me I look great. I have no issues with my appearances. I'm interested in being healthier and influencing others around me to do the same.
- Complete all courses from IDEO U
- Get better at story telling
- Get better at analogies
- Grow my email list
- Learn to invest financially
- Pay down half my debt/increase my net worth.
- Sky dive.
- Travel more
- Visit Haiti 🇭🇹
Things I accomplished in 2016:
- Traveled to meet people from the seanwes community in Texas
- Investing in my business
- Joined a mastermind group
- Gained confidence in putting my opinions out there on the www internets - i.e. Blogging regularly. (It's been great)
- Learned more about design thinking
- Invested in online courses
- Invested in learning how to swim
- Dropped 9lbs in a week (gained 5 back due to the holiday eating but it's all good).
- Learned to practice gratitude each morning along with mindset transformations. (Can still grow and expand in this area).
- Saved 10k
- Paid down a significant amount of debt.
Over all this year has been full of it's ups and downs. I'm grateful if the Lord chooses to let me see tomorrow or another year. Ultimately the best blessing is being able to continue to grow in my faith, share my knowledge, and live out the characteristics of Godliness. I'm enjoying getting comfortable with being be and I'm getting comfortable in being uncomfortable. Thanks for joining me in this late but well needed writing journey. I'm looking forward to seeing what will come of it while taking it day by day. Here's to the new year!
