It's Not Really A Friday If You Have To Work – Right?

“It’s Not Really A Friday If You Have To Work – Right?” What is the energy you bring to work each day? Work is one of those things many people dread. I’m not even gonna front – I find myself dreading work some days too. However I’ve found that mindset is where is all starts. I am known as the early bird in the office. I really despise being late to anything, and since I often arrive before anyone else, I take it as an opportunity to set the day off. I greet everyone with a cheerful smile, get the coffee pot going and set the temperature to a comfy…

    Red Lipstick

I came home a bit late today, and my mom didn’t see me before she left the house this morning. I headed straight for the bathroom so I could clean my face – I hate the removal process of make up. It takes too much effort in my opinion to ensure your face is clean. My mom saw my lipstick and said, ” it’s too red”. I followed up with “For WHO?” She repeated herself, and I responded again – “For WHO?”  And then she fell silent. My mom has this habit of pushing her opinions on me. Comfort in the Word

Last week I shared how rough it was for me. I was feeling extremely down – and no I wasn’t depressed. It was sadness that was overwhelming me. It tried to creed back in today. But I’ve been working on it and dealing with it.  I’ve since been delving into the Word. I’ve neglected this a bit. I’ve been focused on so many other things and prioritizing everyone else but myself and my relationship with Christ.  Tonight I find comfort in the word. Seeing the promises that were made to me and many other believers.  I dwell on this – as it was also part of my morning mantra- The…

    Positive thinking

Last week I listened to a YouTube video where they talked about positive thinking and the affects they have on our brains.  Last week was a really rough one and I’m determined to go into this one thinking differently. If you have time check out the Video. I think I’ll need to rewatch it but it was certainly eye opening.

You Can't Solve My Problems: my experience w/self doubt

For the longest time I’ve dealing with self doubt – questioning my skill level and wondering ” Am I worth it it?” or am I good enough?  Do you ever find yourself asking these questions? or feeling that you are some imposter posing to be better than you actually are? From the begining I’ve let you know that I will be truthful and honest with what I am dealing with and going through.  This is my experience in dealing with self-doubt.  It’s crippling and prevents you from moving forward.  Prevents you from being committed to what you started.  Can come from comparing yourself to other people’s work.  I was so…
